#What is the product or service you are offering?
We have introduced an online food ordering service in Pakistan which enables our partner restaurants to have their menus available online for customers to choose and place an order for home delivery. Our web-site has all the menu items of our partner restaurants and customers can visit and choose the food they would like to order and place an order online at Food Club.
We are changing the way food will be delivered from restaurants to the end customers, what we are hoping to achieve is to provide access to online channels for all restaurants who currently lack online presence and are losing out on the digital revolution.
#Who are your customers?
Young, hip, online generation that wants more variety and options available when ordering food online.
#How are your customers addressing this need today?
They are placing order via phone to a few known restaurants like McDonalds, KFC, Pizza hut e.t.c, and have little access to other local restaurants in their area.
Customers don’t have access to a variety of menus from the top restaurants in their area. There isn’t any easy way to know about the deals offered by restaurants in your area, and no way to know how the quality of food/delivery service is for a particular restaurant.
#What is your proposed solution (product, service, or combination) for these customers?
Through our website, we present all the items on menus of best rated restaurants in town in a user-friendly standardized manner to make it easy for customer to choose and place an order online for the food they love. We promote hot deals in your city offering customers a chance to save money when placing orders online with us.
We provide customers an option to leave a review and rate a restaurant’s food and quality of service to ensure that other customers are aware of what to expect when placing orders online.
#What were the biggest challenges when you started up?
There hasn’t been any significant challenge yet, as customers are accepting and liking very much this concept in Pakistan.
#What was your inspiration behind this startup?
The main inspiration is to utilize the e-commerce skills and promote a concept in local market which can help and facilitate us in ordering the food from our computers and smart phones.
#Tell us about your core team and their expertise?
Our core team has e-commerce experience of more than a decade, aiming to grow the e-commerce industry in Pakistan.
#What is your advice for upcoming startups and entrepreneurs in Pakistan?
For starting a new venture they should be passionate about what they are getting into, and consistency and patience is must. As when you put in the effort and keep doing smart work in a startup, it automatically shows results.
#Who are your competitors, and how do you compare to them?
Since the concept is new, so there are not as such big players in it. Although 3-4 other companies are providing the same online ordering services, but it’s still new for all us, and we got a long way to go.
#How are you going to market & sell your product/services?
Our services are free of cost to all customers who will place order from us online. In our business model we charge a minimum amount to restaurants for the business we give to them.
